The B-24 Liberator was a mid- to high-wing, four-engine heavy bomber (it adopted a type of wing known as the Davis wing, narrow and elongated, which became its distinguishing feature along with its double oval-shaped drift). The B-24 was initially developed and produced by the U.S. Consolidated Aircraft Corporation in the early part of the 1940s, and during the war, it was also built under license by other companies such as Douglas, Ford, and North American.
The Liberator was one of the most important American bombers. It ended the war as the U.S. warplane built in the largest number in history, more than 18,000 examples.
The remains of the large aircraft are various parts of the fuselage, a whole wing complete with the huge undercarriage wheel, the 4 huge star engines with the propellers still intact, some machine guns, etc.
